WHAT IS A MENTOR?
A mentor is defined as a safe adult friend who is a good role model.
They are more experienced and stable in life and seek to further the development of character and competence in a younger person and helps them to build confidence and self-esteem.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF A NPP MENTOR?

Mentors commit to spending quality time with their mentee

Make sure that the mentee is safe during activities and safely returns home after

Keeps information shared by mentee confidential, unless the mentor believes the mentee will harm themselves or someone else

Communication with program staff

A mentor is not an ATM machine, but may need to spend some money from time to time.
